Ms. Kolodzinski worked in-patient at Carrier Clinic, a 160-bed private psychiatric hospital in Belle Mead, NJ, where she served as a clinical case manager and a group therapist. At Carrier, Ms. Kolodzinski specialized in serving clients with a dual¬†diagnosis, such as depression with alcohol or drug addiction, bipolar disorder with substance use, and co-morbid disorders, such as depression and post-traumatic stress (PTSD). Ms. Kolodzinski has worked with people with paranoid schizophrenia, severe bipolar disorder, severe and debilitating depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, Asperger’s, intermittent explosive disorder, and defiant personality disorder. She has experience working with geriatric patients, including those with dementia. Ms. Kolodzinski does not prescribe psychotropic medications. However, she can refer patients to local psychiatrists and advanced practice nurses in psychiatry, if medication is deemed necessary.

Prior to working at Carrier, Ms. Kolodzinski was a counselor at Community Services of Devereux in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, counseling teens on an out-patient basis and also facilitating group therapy in Devereux’s partial hospital program for teens. Ms. Kolodzinski worked at Eagleville Hospital, in Eagleville, Pa., counseling adult men and women who violated parole by using illegal substances. She ran therapeutic groups, referred residents for vocational and life skills training, and worked with probation and parole officers to mediate legal liabilities. Specializing in the treatment of sex offenders, Ms. Kolodzinski was a group and individual therapist at Community Mental Health Services, Inc., in Downingtown, Pa., where she counseled men convicted of sexual offenses, with a focus on decreasing recidivism and behavior modification strategies. Ms. Kolodzinski also worked with victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence through this program; and counseled domestic violence perpetrators.
